Call out for submissions for local solar farm

Renew Estate are calling for submissions to their local solar farm project in nearby Sutton, NSW. Springdale Solar Farm is a 120MW DC project and the development proposal is currently on exhibition with the NSW Department of Planning & Environment.

The project aims to support a range of benefits to the community, including:

  • Our 120MW DC solar farm is estimated to save 123,00 tonnes of CO2 annually¬†
  • It would power 35,000 houses annually with clean green energy
  • The project creates opportunities for contractors and local employment, as well as training and scholarships¬†
  • The benefits of Australia transitioning to clean energy generation for both combatting climate change and security of supply;
  • Opportunities for the community to co-invest in the solar farm; and
  • The $100,000 community fund.

Renew Estate are encouraging he community to go online and lodge a submission in support of their proposed development, even if it is just a brief letter with a couple of lines.
