PV Lab Australia is a specialised test lab with a focus on quality assurance and risk evaluation for PV modules and components.

The laboratory regularly serves clients such as EPC contractors building large plants, owner’s engineers establishing commissioning requirements, solar installers dealing with warranty claims and importers assessing which modules to select. PV Lab Australia also support banks and investors for larger solar farms and are a competent contact for technical questions.

Their independent laboratory is headquartered in Canberra and can evaluate samples ranging in size from just one module through to statistical sampling of the large numbers needed for a solar farm.

They can assess performance on day one, damage that may have occurred during transportation to or within Australia, and technical performance and reliability throughout the service life of a module.

PV Lab quality assurance procedures have been developed over more than a decade to provide information about the performance of modules and their long term reliability. In doing so, they enable clients to safeguard investments in their installations and their reputation. PV Lab uses only Class AAA simulators in accordance with International Electrotechnical Committee (IEC) standards and internationally recognised sampling techniques to ensure thorough and reliable testing.
