Women in Renewables scholarship now open

The Clean Energy Council's Women in Renewables initiative champions women in renewable energy while striving to achieve a better gender balance across all levels of the industry. Through building a united community of men and women who share a collective mission and vision, we will in turn enable women to step up as empowered leaders within their organisations.

The Clean Energy Council's Women in Renewables Scholarships aim to support the professional development of female employees in the clean energy industry.

Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) Scholarship

The CEC is committed to improving gender diversity in the renewable energy industry, including on boards as directors. To support this goal, the CEC has established an annual scholarship to support a female employee within a CEC member company to undertake the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) Foundations of Directorship course. 2019 will be the fourth year the scholarship will be awarded.

Through the Foundations of Directorship scholarship, the Women in Renewables program will help increase the pool of potential candidates for board roles and leadership positions with the CEC and other clean energy sector entities.
